Queen Nefertiti ruling in 1390 B.C.E to 1360 B.C.E was queen during the Armana period. Her husband was Amenhotep IV also known as King Akhenaten. When Nefertiti was fifteen years old she ended marrying King Akhenaten. They had six daughters and one son. Queen Nefertiti was known for reciting daily worship and making offerings.
source After the fourteenth year of King Akhenatens rule there were no more pictures of Nefertiti. She was erased from history. That may be because Nefertiti had many enemies. Since she was the wife of King Akhenaten, she made changes to the rules which the Egyptians might not have liked. What
is funny is that one of her favorite hobbies was politics.
source Nefertitis name meant the beautiful or perfect woman has come. Some scholars believe that she was not from Egypt, and had traveled from a foreign land. There are other opinions which think that she was born an Egyptian royal. Then others think that she might not have been royal blood but her father was a high government official. Her father then became pharaoh after King Tutankhamen.
source Nefertiti and her husband King Akhenaten strived to make monotheism a practiced religion. Monotheism is the belief in one God. In their religion they worshiped Aten the Sun God. Akhenaten thought the idea of the polytheistic religion was silly. Some Egyptologist think that Nefertiti instigated the monotheistic religion that started an argument between Akhenaten and the priests.
source Nefertiti then dies in 1360 B.C.E. Some theologians think that Nefertiti was murdered. Yet others think that she may have died of old age. This topic is still being discussed today. In the end, her mummy was stolen by grave robbers.
